Our world is rapidly changing, with transitions in energy, resources, and digital innovation like AI and the next wave of computing technology. The challenges that these transitions bring are too complex for either the government or private companies to solve independently. They need to be addressed by the combining strengths of the private and public players. With innovation and entrepreneurship, robust regulation and forward-thinking investments, the sustainable and digital transitions across the globe can be moved forward. For example, building up the bilateral ecosystem between the UK and the Netherlands for the future of neuromorphic computers needs strong collaboration between public and private partners from both sides. Similarly, the development of a hydrogen ecosystem in Namibia and South Africa requires involvement from stakeholders across the field, from private offshore windmill companies to fully equipped Namibian government bodies, and public investment where private parties are too risk averse. As an international public-private partnership developer at NLWorks, I am eager to bring these sustainability transitions forward with strategic thinking, connecting the dots and connecting players in the web of international public and private stakeholders.

With a background in public economics, I started my career as a trainee at the OECD. There I saw the potential of governments working together with the private sector in bringing solutions to global challenges. As a consultant and project manager I deepened my analytical skills and international network in working with national and local governments in more than 15 countries for international clients such as the World Bank, European commission and the Asian Development Bank. With this experience, I now structure and facilitate the cooperation between a wide range of private and public stakeholders, sharpening internationalization strategies and playing a connecting role between private consortia, knowledge institutions and Dutch and international governmental organizations.
